The volunteer organizers have put this tournament together for all past and present Div. 583 members at large with the intent of making an inclusive event where we can have the chance to play with some co-workers that we may not get to see regularly, play some good competative hockey, and have some fun to end the hockey season. While we encourge some good natured trash talk and of course, earning some bragging rights..Let's please try to remember that we are all non professional hockey players out there for fun, and we all have to work with one another when it's over!
-All games will be played with a 5 minute warmup and (2) 25 minute runtime periods
-Full player equipment is mandatory, and a half or full visor is highly encouraged
-No slap shots/stick above the waist
-No body checking
-All minor penalties will be assessed as a penalty shot
-Any major penalties such as fighting, hitting from behind, or an act deemed to be with an intent to injure will result in 2 penalty shots and an ejection from the game
-No overtime will be played in round robin games, and each team will be awarded 1 point for a tie
Tie breakers for the playoff round will be as follows:
1. Head to Head
2. Goals against
3. Score differential
4. Penalty shots awarded
